Tjmall
I have a iPhone & a 2022 Ford Edge sel awd. I have been having problems with my Bluetooth. It connects fine but when I received a phone call it’s a quick hello & then i can’t hear anything on my end, i hang up & call back all is good. Sometimes when i make a call person answers then it’s all static that you can’t make out the conversation. I call back all is good. I have had the dealership to multiple up dates, tried the reset multiple times, tech’s updated the wireless charging module, APIM replacement x2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ps i have used in husband Chev truck no issues. Daughters bronco no issues. So not my phone thanks
enigma-2
Don't know how to fix,, but I seen same problem in other Ford forums. Seems daily common. Both IPhone and Android. Concensus seems to be that it started with update. Conflicts with Sync4. Has it always done this, or started at/near specific date? If date, check update dates on iPhone to see if they coincide. Michy
Our 2024 does this on both iPhones and android and only on the first call. We have only had edge for a couple months.
yrklvr
I had this problem with my '21 Edge. Just got a '24 Edge and yes, I'm still having it. Ridiculous that this hasn't been fixed!

Car back into ford for more investigation, they are now waiting for a ford engineer to get a hold of them, Fantastic dealership they gave me a new 2024 edge to drive brand new. When they figure out what the issue is I will definitely report back thanks

Wigitz24
Hey there Tjmall have you gotten any solution on a fix? I just upgraded from a 2020 edge to a 2024 edge and this is now happening to me. So annoying because it doesn’t happen everytime
enigma-2
Does this happen with only one phone or with others as well? (Try connecting your wife's phone and see if you still get static.)
Wigitz24
Only have my phone connected. Reading the posts above it seems like it doesn’t matter about what phone is connected. When it happens if I end the call and call right back everything is fine

When it happens if I end the call and call right back everything is fine In a different forum, one user fixes the problem by switching the audio from the ACU to his phone and back to the ACU. Or by hanging up and calling back. Seems to tied to one particular BT channel. Been occurring for a few years now, no fix found. Appears that the BT connection picks up interference from somewhere upon making a connection when the car is turned on. Sometimes. Lot of things in and around a car can affect individual BT channels. One fella traced it to a particular brand of hearing aid which used BT channels.
Wubster100
Does the static happen while bluetooth and WiFi is enabled? Could there be confusion with bluetooth only vs. carplay/android auto?
Wigitz24
Ya. I saw the work around about switching from Bluetooth to the phone speaker and back but I don’t think we should really have to do that. It’s always the 1st call for me. Hanging up and dialing again fixes it but again, shouldn’t have to do this. I don’t have CarPlay hooked up. Only connected through Bluetooth
