Horn chirps and doors lock on their own when exiting the vehicle

[Horn and lock problems]

with my fob in my hand, 2013 ford edge sport, the doors lock on their own and the horn chirps. The horn also chirped randomly when away from the vehicle and lights flash. Vehicle horn sometimes chirps when outside the vehicle and no buttons are pressed. I hear the doors relooking the vehicle when no buttons are pressed on the key fob. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like the car is recieving a lock button signal. Most likely there's another stray signal nearby that's triggering it. Signal close to the frequency of your existing remotes.

 

Try reprogramming your remotes to see if that stops it.

Someone around you might have a fob clone machine. Keep

those fobs protected with a Faraday Device or RF proof device.

Examples are wrapped tightly Al foil or a neat little RF proof pouch.

 

Once into the car, they can clone a key via OBD2 port.
