SSEnterprise
We recently traded in our 2011 Edge limited for a 2024 Edge Titanium. The 2011 had both an engine cover and hood insulation. Our 2024 has neither. Is this normal? Can either be added?
akirby
Yes it’s normal and yes it can be added if you can find one. At least that used to be the case. They started deleting them a few years ago.
dabangsta
The Ford badged engine cover is no longer available, you can get the Lincoln one though. The oil fill and dipstick moved for 2019+ so the older ones are not a direct fit without hacking them up.
Will2U
I added insulation to mine. You just pop it into place. The engine cover was more trouble than it was worth IMHO.

Davidoo
I have a 22 ST, and I believe it was the first year they cut out the hood insulation. I ordered one and installed myself in less than 2 minutes. I didn't try to get the engine cover as I agree with others that it is not worth it and not a big deal. lildisco
My 2020 SEL didn't come with the insulation or engine cover. Ordered both & installed in under 10 minutes. The hood insulation seems to be worth it, especially since we live in the rust belt.
RBX QB
'21 ST... no insulation. Ordered the factory unit posted above (from the dealer), and it came with the installation clips (which I had ordered separately)... so you may not need to order the clips if you go this route. Order the insulation, and if the clips don't come with, order them and wait a few days. Clips from Amazon, if you need them for a few bucks less... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077Y8VJHQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
SSEnterprise
Thanks again for all the info. I have ordered the hood insulation. Will wait a while to decide on the engine cover.
SSEnterprise
It arrived today. It actually took it longer to get the home-made cardboard box un-taped from the packing material than it did to install it. Once I got the first clip in, the rest were just push and snap. Thanks again for the shared knowledge.
rafeeki
any drilling required to install the insulation clips or are they glued on?
SSEnterprise
No drilling, the clips just snap into place on the hood. There was one loose clip that I had to re-attach to the hood insulation, but that was super easy also.
