Fan Speed Control Issue - Fuse Box

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I need advice on a fan speed control issue. The fan speed on my touchscreen center dash continuously clicks up and down. The Ford dealership told me it's a fuse behind the faceplate that needs replacing, but they are saying the entire faceplate needs to be replaced, which seems excessive.

I was told the fuse box is under the driver's side, but the dealership mentioned a fuse behind the faceplate. Can someone confirm which fuse controls the buttons? Also, does the faceplate have a computer motherboard on the back? Lastly, is it possible to change a single fuse, or must the entire faceplate be replaced?

Thank you,

Pete

So that image is not of your vehicle? SEL has DATC and available MyFordTouch, and Limited/Sport has Sony with DATC. Most levels of controls for 2011 are soft touch. There is single manual controls (but not with MyFordTouch), the dual controls, dual controls with Sony (touch sensitive) and dual auto controls with MyTemp (2 knobs in the center) which are also light touch buttons. I assume it is one with light touch buttons?

Guess there's more to it than I thought. I have a 2011 Ford Edge Sport. My car is currently in the shop, so the image above is a reference picture.
Mine would be dual controls with Sony (touch sensitive).
