FrustratedCarOwner Posted June 13, 2023 Report Share Posted June 13, 2023 I recently bought a 2015 ford edge turbo boost. It has 88k miles on it when I bought it. I have had it about a month and now when I accelerate it is sluggish and I can hear a whooshing sound. I went by O'Reilly's auto parts and they did a test. I was told that it read Turbo boost underboost and I had to take it to a mechanic or the dealership. I have researched this problem. 1004ron Posted June 13, 2023 Report Share Posted June 13, 2023 Welcome. Is that a 2.0L or 2.7L ? What was the stored error code? The under boost could be caused by a number of things such as waste gate, waste gate actuator, plugged CAT, ........ so will need further diagnostics. Odrapnew Posted June 15, 2023 Report Share Posted June 15, 2023 Sounds like one of your inlet ducts blew off. This happened to a few people with Explorer Ecoboosts. Hose clamps were not tight enough to hold the pressure and blow off. Simple fix once you find the one that's off. Loosen clamp, push hose back on, tighten clamp....and then check all others to make sure they are seated and tight. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
