sleighbor
Hey guys, Quick question. I bought a Kenwood DNX8120 and it came with a backup camera. The camera comes with power, ground and an rca cable which I know where they go. My question is about the purple wire on the DNX8120 labeled reverse sensor wire. According to the install manual it should be connected to the car's reverse lamp harness. What and where is that please? I was thinking of splicing it to the reverse lights in the back of the car but I was unsure if that was right. Thank you! Kevin

Kevin bingo.. splice it into the reverse wire back at the tail light. this way, when the car is shifted into reverse, it sends power to the camera. read my install post here where I talk about that
