Caden5967
All of a sudden when I turned my 2014 ford edge sel on I immediately got the service advancetrac warning, wrench light, check engine light, and traction control lights. At first when I pressed the gas pedal it would accelerate very weakly and delayed, got out of my drive way turned around and parked, turned car off and when I turned it back on there was absolutely no response from the gas pedal and it idled very roughly like it wanted to die but saves itself, pressing either pedal would 8 out of 10 times result in the car dying and displaying the warning “low engine oil pressure” hooked scanner to it and it showed faults in a lot of things but the important things being pcm, abs, and throttle body. Replaced the throttle body and then the pedal sensor faulted, replaced the pedal and the car started idling normal without dying and regained a tiny bit of pedal response but not much and all the lights still on. Battery won’t stay charged and has to be jumped every time. Checked every sensor to make sure none are loose, fuses are good, wires seem okay. I’m completely lost and so Is everyone I’ve asked, anyone have any ideas?
Haz
Welcome to the Forum! Based upon your comment that the battery won't hold a charge, you may want to have the battery tested to determine if it has a failing or failed cell(s). Low battery voltage alone will induce a myriad of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and electronic module symptoms, and replacing a failing/failed battery may (surprisingly) clear up many problems. Please report back on the outcome, and I'll gladly supply diagnostic procedures to address any enduring DTCs that your Edge exhibits. Good luck! Caden5967
Checked the battery, everything good with it. Pedals not working again.
