Hodgie
New to here and new to me 2010 Edge Limited, 89,000 km. Live in the great white North and have lots of questions as the owners manual is limited and Ford websites are ##$%%@#*&^**. Hodgie
dabangsta
Welcome! I find just about any question I have answered in the owners manual if it isn't a super secret thing or a very technical thing. I am sure that many here have probably already dealt with some of the things you have questions about though!
Hodgie
For example of inadequate information. I can't find out how to reset the trip odometers.
dabangsta
Hmm, the manual says that if you don't have the message center you simply select the one you want to reset (by just toggling the trip/reset button), press and hold the trip/reset button until it resets after 2 seconds. If you have the message center, when you have that trip displayed (switch between them using the Info button), the Reset button (along with the Info and Setup buttons) you press and hold until it resets. Hodgie
Thank you. I hit the info button until I got the trip odometer and held the reset button until it zeroed out. Did both of them. Thanks again, Hodgie
DILLARD000
Welcome to the Herd! Lots of friendly knowledgable folk in these forums. Watch out for that infamous InternalChainDrivenWaterPump in your 2010 V6~4.0l~SOHC engine: look for: * coolant leaking from frontside weephole behind Alternator * coolant leaking from topside weephole in EngineV * milkshake colored Oil on DipStick If any of above, stop driving vehicle immediately before more engine damage occurs & change out that WaterPump. Also, if your 2010 Edge is AWD with the infamous PowerTransferUnit\PTU, be sure to get that GearOil renewed now & every 33kMiles\4Years; use premium 75w140.FullSyn, AmsOil recommended. DILLARD000
Yep. 2010 Edge has the V6~3.5L~DOHC Engine with the InternalChainDrivenWaterPump, a NotoriousFailureItem. If it's the AllWheelDrive\AWD verion, it also has a RearAxle Differential+ElectricClutch+DriveShaft & the FrontAxle PowerTransferUnit\PTU, also a NotoriousFailureItem.
