14EdgeMoneyDump
2014 Edge SEL 3.5L 103k miles. One month ago, I was at the gas station and fueled up. Not full, and as I got back in my car i felt the car studder and drop in RPM, but did not die. This was the first "major" issue I've noticed since I bought it with 20k miles on it. I got home and checked on some things. I changed the spark plugs where I found a bad coil pack so I changed it as well. I got a new air filter, cleaned out the box ETC did the oil (I keep up with maintenance but this scared me so I just changed some things) I thought maybe it was bad gas, as I looked up Marathon stations had a bad reputation for it so I went elsewhere and it did not do it for awhile. Once it did it again, I then changed out the purge valve to a new one. I got fuel again, and the car died on me which is the first time it had done that. I notice some rough idle on occasion and now I'm lost to what it is. The car starts up like a dream everyday, no acceleration issues. Battery is 3 months old. I'm hoping one of you have dealt with it and it's a small sensor of some sort not dropping the tank for a new filter.
Olson_jr
Did you ever figure this out? My 2013 has just started doing the same thing.
1004ron
Get the stored error codes read, be be aware that not all code scanners are reliable - I learnt that lesson and now only use Forescan Lite to read codes.
DILLARD000
Had a simular random stalling issue with my wifes 2008 Edge. Never had a CEL or TroubleCode, but would randomly loose power or stall then immediately start again. After changing several parts, turned out to be the RadiatorFanControl box on the upper left inside of FanShroud, was randomly shorting out the PulseWidthMod\FanSpeed control signal wire from the Computer\PCM & killing the PCM & Engine. Installed a new FanController & issue went away. Was a devil of a gremlin to find.
