EddieSon
Hello y'all, Hope everyone is doing well, long time lurker, first time poster. Key info Ford 2014 limited OEM Sony stereo with the sub Had some engine work done on Thursday - Spark plugs, Coil packs replaced and an oil change at a Ford dealership Issue Noticed a siren like sound earlier today while driving with the misses, wasn't listening to music, had it basically on mute Went to turn on the radio with bluetooth, and only getting sound out of the driver's side speakers Tested it with the fade and balance and wasn't getting any sound besides the sub on the passenger's side speakers Sound goes completely out, and the only sound coming out is this . Then after a restart or two only comes out of the driver side. Fixes tried Master reset through the sync settings menu multiple times Pulled the 20A fuse from 29 and replaced it with the fuse from 5 waited 30s before replacing Pulled power from the fuse box all together and waited 30s to replug it in Multiple re-starts consisting of turning the car off and opening the door to shut the radio off and starting the car About to try to do an update to it with an update from ford's own site Ordered the APIM to replace it Misc info When out with the misses, stopped to get some lunch and noticed that I had a check engine light on, when I replaced the fuse, it went away. Wires going to the fuse box are covered in a crappy electric tape left the windows down back in july while it rained pretty hard bunch of stuff got a good shower, had some issues with the touch not working for the climate control, but all has been resolved and working since a week after the rain Went through the diag menu by holding eject CD and Next track, the test confirms all speakers are in working order, Couldn't make heads or tails of all the options that are offered within the menu I'm an avid music enjoyer so I do listen to it at high levels, and give it a work out when on long trips. EDIT: Did the update process, Sync voice works on all speakers, diag walk around test confirms all speakers work, music only comes out of drivers side, when I put audio fully on the passenger side it's sounds extremely muffled like the speaker is blown, but sounds completely fine if it's the sync voice or test. When I restarted it, went right back to the popping sound in the vid posted above under the "This" link. I'm honestly at a loss on what else it could be, if anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it, and if it fixes it, willing to slide a few dollars your way for helping me out. If it's completely screwed and requires to be replaced, what would be a good after market stereo that'd use the OEM sub, and backup camera?
