keiser
I just acquired a 2014 Edge with 40,000 miles. It seems pristine. When I open the hood to check fluids after a drive, the hood prop almost burns my fingers. Temperatures, fluid levels normal. My last car was a 2005 Escape and I've owned Fords for 50 years. Is such a hot prop normal on this model?
omar302
It probably was very hot to the touch, if I remember correctly, and there even was a yellow plastic or rubber sleeve that you can hold the prop from to avoid touching the hot steel prop rod.
