Going by the parts numbers, I've already done this recall.

 

20S42 - Recall for 2015-18 Edge and 2016-18 MKX - Brake Jounce Hoses - Page 2 - Recalls, TSBs & Warranty - Ford Edge Forum

Your self-fulfilled Safety Recall 20S42 provides for one-time mandatory replacement of both front hoses, without any time-in-service or mileage limitations, regardless of condition of installed hoses -- even if they have been replaced prior to the Recall at the owner's expense, which should allow for an Owner Refund of reasonable repair charges owner paid.

 

The Customer Satisfaction Program 22N02 provides for one-time elective participation, if within 10 years after warranty start date and 150,000 miles, or if time/miles are already exceeded,  through August 31, 2023, and an Owner Refund provision for prior/emergency repairs accomplished by October 7, 2022 with the refund offer expiring  on April 28, 2023.

 

Eligibility date differences between the Programs cause some older Edge/MKX vehicles to be eligible for the Safety Recall but ineligible for the Customer Satisfaction Program, and also cause some newer Edge/MKX/Nautilus that are ineligible for the Safety Recall to be eligible for the Customer Satisfaction Program. 

 

Many Edge/MKX vehicles may fall within the span of build date eligibility that is shared between the two Field Service Actions and they may be judged eligible under both.

 

I am monitoring several Edge VINs to see if vehicles serviced under the Safety Recall are eventually listed in OASIS as eligible for subsequent replacement of failed hose(s) under the Customer Service Program, presuming the other Customer Service eligibility provisions are met. 

 

I will report back if-or-when dual eligibility is shown in OASIS.
