enigma-2
One other possibility, contact your local Ford dealer's body shop parts dept. They can send a request to all dealers in the country. There's always a possibility (sight of course) that a dealer has one in stock. (Possibly ordered in the past but never installed). Never hurts to try. My local dealer was able to track down a part in a different state for me.

Edge Workshop Manuals from model years 2015-to-2022 show a panel, the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield, which attaches to the bottom of the bumper cover with six screws, extends forward then upward between the muffler and the bumper bar or factory hitch bar, with the top leg screwed to the underside of the cargo area floor structure. The following Workshop Manual images have the pictured Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield outlined in yellow... I searched online OEM parts-sellers and Ford's own FordParts.com, and no reference to the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield exists, including among illustrations of rear bumper cover buildups. I then pulled VINs for all GEN 2 model years from Edge's equipped with the Tow Package currently offered for sale online, and for each VIN, I ran Historical Vehicle Bill of Material reports, which list parts numbers of components specifically installed on each vehicle. Again, no reference to the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield existed. If your zip-tie tethers to your rear bumper cover prove unsatisfying, you could take the Workshop Manual document from the PDF download link below, to your local dealer's Parts Department to see if their resources show the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield. Rear Bumper Cover - Removal and Installation - 2022 Edge Workshop Manual.pdf 953.87 kB · 26 downloads As an alternative to this potential ghost part that escaped removal from GEN 2 Workshop Manual illustrations, you could fashion a V-shaped brace out of sheet plastic or other suitable material, like the brace molded with a live-hinge into the bottom edge or rear bumper covers of GEN 1+ Edges, which attaches with a single screw to the underside of the cargo area floor, between the muffler and the bumper bar or hitch bar, which is a fairly compact area... Aloha! Haz Having exhausted all my resources I decided to take a gamble and buy this part for my 2024 Titanium with tow pkg. So I ordered FT4Z-5811778-C instead of the KT4Z..... which fits the 2018 Edge. It arrived to day and it is a perfect fit, I do not have to modify it but still have to drill in the spare tire well for the middle screw. Attached are pics of the part and will post more when I get it installed, piece of cake but not for today. It is of plastic. I mistakenly ordered 2 of the same. Anyone can have it for what I paid I think was $60. You can pick it up from Northwest Indiana Edited November 2 by rafeeki 2
rafeeki
It fit perfectly. I yet have to add the screw that goes through the wheel well. Attached is a picture from the installation, note how it fit tight against the tow hitch. 2

Be aware that many other online sellers of Ford OEM parts offer these parts at various prices, so search around if you're looking for the best deal. Regarding the question of when Ford stopped installing Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields on Edges, I did another ten-vehicle (small sample size) survey using VINs from Titanium & ST models listed for sale online, and then pulled HVBoM reports on each to see what vehicles were built with Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields. 2021 Edges built on or before the third week of May, 2021 were fitted with Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields. 2021 Edges built on or after the fourth week of May, 2021 and all 2022 Edges were not fitted with Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields. No clarity on whether supply chain issues contributed to this, though the parts are labeled majority USA content... Much gratitude to chipdog4 for commenting on the part's composite construction , which put me onto the underbody shields grouping containing Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields. Good luck! My wife and I just purchased a 2022 Edge Titanium three weeks ago. It’s used obviously, but only one owner and 33,xxx miles. It’s a great car, but I noticed on the way home from the dealership that the back bumber was moving quite a bit. I did some research, and here I am! I’ve tried to find the part(ours has the towing hitch), and it is no longer available. Do you have any idea where else I could find it? The Ford price isn’t too bad at all, so I’d like to find something close in price. Thanks, Jason
enigma-2
Here's a listing (part number and price) from Ford dealer of all parts in rear bumper. 2022 Furd Edge, Titanium. ☆None are marked discontinued. As for price; drop your drawers, bend over, smile and yell "sock it to me, you filthy bastards." https://www.fordpartsconnect.com/v-2022-ford-edge--titanium--2-0l-l4-gas/body--bumper-and-components-rear Edited 18 hours ago by enigma-2
Haz
Welcome to the Forum @GoBlueVA! As @enigma-2 observes, FordParts Connect does not show the "discontinued" or "unavailable" designations you may have seen on other parts-selling websites... Link to this FordParts Connection webpage Be aware that the "This part does not fit your 2022 Edge" warning is due to the Ford's discontinuing factory installation of the part. Because other online parts-sellers using the RevolutionParts website infrastructure show the part as "discontinued" or "unavailable", you may want to telephone FordParts Connection to ensure they have access to the part, since they do not show it as "In Stock"... As an alternative, you may want to use the Forum Messaging feature to contact Forum member @rafeeki to see if the two of you can work something out... GoBlueVA
I appreciate the responses! However, I need the air deflector used with the towing hitch. The only difference in the part number is the last letter, which is “D”. When I put that in, it says discontinued. I think I’m just going to have to go to the dealership and see if they can find it and get it for me.
Haz
@GoBlueVA: I regret that I have been unclear. While FT4Z-5811778-D is designated for Edges equipped with the factory Trailer Tow Package, several Forum members like yourself, who were unable to obtain that part, purchased FT4Z-5811778-C and happily discovered it fit their vehicles with little or no modification -- with the latest being @rafeeki... GoBlueVA
Oh my word! This is great! I guess I did misunderstand or just completely missed where you guys spoke about being able to use the “C” part. I’m going to order one and let you all know how it goes when it comes in. Thank you!
