Gerry_B
Hey folks, I'm trying to figure out how to turn this feature off. My wife has a 2016 edge SE. My dog triggers it and it closes while I'm working on her crate. More than once I've felt like an Edge appetizer. I went thru the menu and tried the power tailgate choice. All that did was stop the tailgate switch from opening it normally. It didn't disable the foot switch like I want. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gerry B
akirby
Don’t keep the key in your pocket. It only works if the key is within 3 feet of the hatch.
Will2U
Same problem here. My big feet trigger it while I'm cleaning or unloading. If I'm cleaning, it's a serious hazard for my fingers. I have identified a place where I visibly hang my keys while I'm in the cargo area. Ford really needs to create a setting to disable it on demand.
