MissyD
I have a 2021 Titanium AWD. I can smell gas fumes inside the car when I get back in it after driving it and then having it parked. I can also smell gas after I have had my vehicle in my garage. I am taking it in tomorrow to the service department at the dealership I purchased it at. Hopefully they will be able to find the problem and fix it! Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you !

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
if you have had your vehicle outside in extremely cold weather, it is possible the fuel rail cracked. we have had at least one member on the MACT FB page suffer that issue. if you put a catch can on the engine, it is possible the hoses are not fuel rated. some other problems i have seen on ford direct injection vehicles are faulty pulse dampeners, failed fuel line couplings at the high pressure fuel pump, and rarely a broken cam (from HPFP usage). if excessive fuel dilution is occurring, it may be smelled from the exhaust as the fumes exit the tailpipes. natural gas/propane odors typically are from leaking PTU fluid. catalytic converters also offgas when the vehicle has low mileage. enigma-2
What did they find?
MissyD
So far they have been able to determine that there is the strong smell of gasoline inside the car after it is started. The service department has had it for 14 days now and still have not been able to find the cause and therefore unable to fix it. ?
