SC_ST
Was it warmer last night or colder? When is the last time you checked the battery?
1004ron
What code reader are you using? I ask because I had a generic cheap OBDII device and it showed no codes when I had and evap valve problem, then when I got a more expensive OBDLink MX+ it revealed the code. enigma-2
There can literally be many reasons, pulling the stored codes is best to narrow it down. One possibility is the anti-theft system didn't recognize your key (the night before). The cause (possibily) is your cars battery is getting weak and the voltage dropped low. Have a battery load test run to be certain (not voltage test, a load test, one that reads the capacity of the cranking amps or cold cranking amps). Less than 50% of the rated capacity is a battery that needs replacing. If it is the anti-thief, try a reset. Put the key in the ignition and turn on (not start). Leave in the on position for several minutes to recognize the key. Then try to start. Another way is to put the key in the door, turn slightly, but not to the unlock position. Leave it for a minute or two then turn the opposite direction and leave for a minute. Then try starting.
