2020 SEL FWD - extremely low fuel mileage

Hi,

I've been driving 2020 SEL FWD for 3 months now and I've got problem with extremely low fuel mileage.

The car was bought with damaged exhuast system (the whole system was torn out) and it has been replaced with substitute, not OEM part. Apart from lots of exhaust steam in the morning, the system seems to work fine - no strange noises, no strange smells. So far, I've driven around 1.000 miles and my city best is 15 mpg (usually around 13) and higway best is 22 mpg. I use 95 octane (Europe), drive slow with not rapid accelerations. Official statistics say the it should be 21/28.

Please help me solve the problem! The car is gorgeous but I can't afford keeping it this way.

okay, a bunch of questions to help narrow down your problem.

i assume your edge is gasoline since you're talking about 95 (which is is about 91 n. american octane). did you import it?

how many miles/km on the car? how's the oil consumption?

where do you live? what's the altitude and temperature?

how are you calculating mpg since in europe they use liters and kilometers? just wondering if your calculations could be off. i use 10.4liters/100km on my 2020 ST in british columbia, canada and i'm at sea level.

tell us about your driving habits. if you're starting a cold engine and then only driving a few km each time, then you'll be getting low mileage since the engine is cold most of the time.

is your city driving completely stop and go?

the more you can tell us, the more we can help find the problem.

I have a 2020 I bought new. I have 5400 miles on it...Covid kept me in..plus I have a mustang.

Ive never reset my MPG counter...mine shows 17.1mpg...im never on the highway..live 2.1 miles from my work..and live in delaware..nothing is far away..on the highway I get 32mpg instant gauge..

Ive wondered the same..now that gas is $4.86 a gallon now..my 1998 svt cobra I get 16mpg average with a 32v 4 cam v8.. I bought the edge for winter and to save gas.. Ive complained to the dealer on services... Ive drove like a grandma for a few tanks..unless your on the highway..gas mileage sucka
