patchpony
I have a 2013 Ford Edge. Starting just yesterday, the backup camera has flipped and is displaying upside down. My guidelines are also not showing. The camera is also displaying vertical lines on image. I've checked settings and there is no option for orientation and my guidelines are 'on'. I've read this might possibly be a software issue? I'm hoping the camera isn't going out. any help would be appreciated! thanks!
Perblue
Mine did this. Dealer replaced the camera to fix it. No idea on why it happened though.
2FAST4U
Same thing happened to me on my 2011 MKX and I had the camera replaced at the dealer.

enigma-2
Genius. If the image is upside down, turn the camera upside down, turning the image right side up. I can see a TSB in the making .....
jmbreeze23
Mine is a 2012 with 150k miles on it. The grid lines have been gone for many years. The dealer flashed the software and they came back for a few weeks only to disappear again. My camera will do one of 5 things: 1. work as designed (minus the grid lines) 2. display the image upside down 3. screen will flash (like it can't catch up to showing the image) 4. Go totally black with a yellow triangle - says "contact dealership" 5. Or not work at all. The screen just shows all the normal options - phone, nav, radio, climate At this point, since it still works "some" of the time, I'm not willing to invest in a new camera, nor do I want to tear into it myself. Good thing I still know how to use my side mirrors. ?
