dano126
So I'm looking at this 2016 Edge SEL AWD. Its got the 2.0 in it Its got nearly 90K miles on it. Looks to be in very good shape, and has been taken care of. The dealer is asking $18900. I would like to know of things I need to look out for on this thing. I've read a couple articles on the HPFP, and LPFP, cracking of the exhaust manifold, carbon buildup on intake valves, and the list goes on. So, I'd like to hear from any and everyone as to what I can expect out of this car, things I should have the dealer repair or look at before I make the purchase. Thanks in advance, dano
akirby
Check the oil and coolant and make sure they do a full compression test to check for coolant leaks.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
check the sticker on the pass side of the valve cover. make sure it is not a 420 cleveland engine. i push Ford Protect plans for ecoboosts regardless, but especially for 420's.
2015Edge2015
Definitely make sure it don't have the internal coolant leak we are ALL getting. And yes... it can be hidden with coolant head gasket seal temporarily.
