Gary B.
I read on the Ford site: Bi-LED headlamps incorporate both the high and low beams into a single projection, creating one light source for each side of the vehicle. However, my previous Honda CR-V Touring sure had a wider high beam that was so much better for spotting curbside animals at night on country roads. This 75-yr. old really misses that Honda feature/benefit. Go to 1:50 at: https://youtu.be/v4f6k8ZmMyE Anyone done any mods to their Bi-LED headlamps to get a wider peripheral lighting? enigma-2
Nothing you can do about it. The beam pattern is built-into the housing (which is specific to each individual vehicle). May be possible to add a pair of side-looking leds to throw more light to side of road (like fog lamps).
Gary B.
Thanks for the reply! Not a surprise. However, I did improve the vertical, by raising the top of the beam about 1.5" when illuminating a wall 25 feet in front of the Edge in a dark, level parking deck, using some masking tape for reference. Simple allen wrench adjustment, found via YouTube. great help: Edited October 7, 2021 by Gary B.
