BlackBeauty2
Hi all, new to the Ford Edge. Not new to Ford. Last Ford I had was a 1989 Ex DEA Crown Victoria with a 351 Windsor back in the day. Then walked away from Fords. Had issues, blown engines, trans etc. My last vehicle was a 2010 Cadillac SRX Performance Edition 3.0liter AWD. Nice vehicle minus the many headaches she brought my way. For the past year saw the repair shop more times than I care to remember. My wife has a Ford Focus loves her car, talked me back into a Ford. Tried the escape, can't fit, being a big guy. Needed something as comfy as my SRX was. So I settled on the Edge. My Edge to me is 3 days old. Bought a CPO Gold 2018 Edge SEL 3.5 Liter V6 with 22226 miles and an extended 7 year 100000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Love the vehicle so far. Soon winter will be upon us in awesome Pure S.E Michigan so I can try out the AWD. Will post pictures after I move them to the computer. So far they are on my phone only. Only thing I don't care for is the stupid LHS dead pedal, being a tall guy my left foot or rather knew hits the LHS door and it hurts after a while. I wish there was a way to get rid of that hump. The things I do miss are the HID lights, the power folding mirrors, and the fog lights. Excepting for that SRX was Black Raven, this Edge is Shadow Black. ? My new baby. Great looking edge, but hate to tell you the 3.5L is naturally aspirated. No turbo or intercooler. Still a great engine though and I enjoyed it when I had my 2013.
dajo2012
Most warranties start on the date of manufacture so that would probably be started 2018 for seven years.

Not date of manufacture. The warranty starts on the delivery date. But you are correct that the 7 years is from the OEM warranty start date. BlackBeauty2
Thanks for pointing out its not a turbo. Didn't feel like a turbo when I punched it today to show off to a 2000 Escape V6 LOL. The manufacturer warranty or remaining bal from original sale date 84 months or 100,000 miles is powertrain. Plus I bought into the Ford premium care warranty for an extra 4 grand that gives me bumper to bumper 7 yrs 100000 miles, as per my paperwork from date of my purchase date. The 3.5L is a twin Independent Variable Valve Timing (Ti-VCT) V6 engine.

They didn't have room for the water pump, never mind a pair of snails. ?
