Splitpi
I have an 08' SEL AWD. Do these come with some sort of limited slip differentials? I.e. LSD in the front or center or rear?

I don't think so. I think they're both open with electronic traction control.
CreamEDGE.
Just a PTO I believe (center diff). I know the front wheel drive is open diff. Edited November 13, 2008 by CreamEDGE.
Splitpi
Just a PTO I believe (center diff). I know the front wheel drive is open diff. So worst case is two wheels of the 4 will get power and spin... rather than the one wheel in most FWD. Of course the electronic traction control will apply brakes to the spinning wheel to get torque to flow to the opposite wheel. Which of course does help. Traction control will help with that - up to a point.
ablb
I always find this subject interesting. A friend says "I'VE GOT A BIG OLE 4X4 it says so right on the side." Well maybe but there is a good chance it could be a 4X2 (my F250 as opposed to my neighbor's 4X1 F250 or his neighbor with a REAL 4X4 F250). ab
