MKXgeek
MKXgeek, NS4J here and just got the MKX last night. Are there any amateur radio operators out there? Do you have any radios installed in your Edge/MKX??
KCFlyer
WØYGH here. I don't have any mobile radios installed. I've used my HT a lot, and have not seen any impact on the vehicle electronics. 73, Rick

I'm also wondering if I can piggy-back on the FM/AM antenna wire pass-through. Haven't taken a look yet, but it seemed like an interesting idea to avoid drilling any additional holes or using a through-glass antenna. If anyone has a better idea, chime in. RickRed
I just picked up my Edge (Limited) and would be interested in any research or ideas you have done on radio installation I used a mag mount near the rear of the roof for a few months. I ran the wire in through the grommet used for the rear washer fluid hose. I did need to cut a small notch in the grommet to make space for the antenna wire. I puled the back hatch weather strip loose to feed the wire in and around to the rear seat area, where I have the radio installed. I have a PDF file that goes through everything, including the radio head installation, if members are interested. I did end up installing a permanent antenna above the rear dome light using a 3/4 inch hole and MNO mount. Rick - WA8UMT
ladybell
Daughter of N5IBP (silent key) two years now. Although, my local ARO group thought it would be a great idea for me to get my license and secure his call sign for myself, it's just not something I can keep up with at the moment. But, since your' on here, I have some gear remaining for any of you hammers that are interested. Private message me and I can let you know what I still have available. I have a few mobile antennas and plenty of other tuners, radios and odd and end parts and such that might can help! Welcome to the forum and congrats on the MKX 73, Cheryl
