edgemaster
Hi, I'm trying to install a rear view camera into my Edge. The 2009 has a 2"x1" rectangular plastic plate just above the license plate where the rubber button to open the liftgate on my 2007 Edge used to be and I figured this would be the ideal place to install the camera. Since it is not accessible from behind I was wondering if I can pry it out from the outside without destroying it, install the camera and pop it back in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or I could take out that entire tag light panel without breaking it? Thanks, Ed Edited May 16, 2021 by edgemaster
enigma-2
Think it was Lex that did this in his 08 (???) Edge. Anyway here's the link where he explains how he did it (used this cavity, attached camera to cover):
Haz
The entire light panel is removable, per the attached Shop Manual sections. And this YouTube video shows the removal of the liftgate interior trim panel.
