I'm surprised Ford would put a 2.0L motor in a 4,200-4,400 pound vehicle :(

It is turbocharged, so it's like a small V6 engine. Most reviews I saw/read on the latest Edge 2.0 would describe it as very adequate.

Note that Ford had even offered the 2.0 on the bigger & heavier Explorer in 2012-2015.

The 2.0L version only weights 3900, the ST weights 4400 but it has the 2.7L v6. It has plenty of power, its better than GMC putting a 193 hp motor in the 8 seater 4200lb Acadia.

I'm not putting it down in any way. My Brother in law has a 1.5L EcoBoost in his 2014 Escape, It is really peppy at slow speeds.  Our 3.5L  v6 will beat the  the heck out of it after 50 MPH. The small EcoBoost is great for in town driving. The Ford dealer was really pushing the 2.0L EcoBoost on us but we went with the 3.5L V6. I'm glad we did.......
