ben senise
i made a few nice mods with forscan on my 2016 Ti. Now i'd like to make the same changes on my 2020 ST. The ones i'd like to do are the turn signal flashes, eliminate the double-honk when i get out a running car with the key in my pocket, secure idle, seat heating and cooling on home display, and so on. can i safely use the same code changes or can i mess things up? DaMiFo
The only real way you can mess things up (by just changing asbuilt data) is by being careless. If you're just changing some asbuilt settings, before you even start, MAKE A BACKUP OF THAT MODULE you are working. I cannot stress that enough. Anyways, yes for the most part, things should be the same. The heated/cooled seat icon on the APIM may be different, but I believe that's one of the things that was unchanged in 2019+. There are only minor things here and there that have changed over the years (within the Edge & Fusion platform, at least). Also, simply do one thing at a time (unless specified otherwise), and test after each change. APIM often requires a reboot for some changes to take effect, FYI, so don't worry if something there doesn't appear right away. Good luck, and because I cannot stress rule #1 of FORScan enough since so many people break it, MAKE A BACKUP FIRST and you will be A-OK. ben senise
thanks for the info @DaMiFo. i will, and always do, make backups of things when i mess with them. i'll even make a backup of the backup!
lildisco
Two things that you requested are available with a check on/off feature in FORScan. The popular items usually are available to toggle on/off. The climate control in the instrument cluster might take some doing & I'd look over on the fusion or the F150 forums to see what, if anything changed. omar302
Just don't do changes no one tried before, even though you can revert the changes, there was at least one owner who made an irreversible change because of some security issue. I don't remember what it was exactly, but it happened to him when he used ABD mod data from a different generation on his Ford.

Don't know about the 2020, but i've done it on my 2019 ST. I used the same codes from my 2016 SEL for turn signal flash and heating and cooling on home screen. Secure idle was on by default. I also added climate control in right IPC
