ILVMYGT
We just got a 07 Edge SEL AWD a couple of week ago. After driving it for a while, I though the speedometer was off so I checked it against a GPS. The speedometer reads 5% fast. At 60 indicated the car is going 57 by the GPS. Any one else have this problem? Can FORD calibrate it? Frank

EdgeLover
We just got a 07 Edge SEL AWD a couple of week ago. Any one else have this problem? Can FORD calibrate it? Frank My 2007 EDGE does the same, 5% fast compared to my GPS. Maybe this is normal to all EDGEs, but this is defintely not normal to all vehicles. I took the same GPS comparing to two Lexus and one Toyota. They are right on. Ford needs to be noticed about this problem. Edited November 4, 2008 by EdgeLover
ILVMYGT
That is my thought. I have more cars that are correct then are off. I have 6 cars, four cars are right on and 2 are off. My 89 Ford PU with a analog speedometer is more accurate then the Edge.
dbolton21xdbullet
Does that mean for every hour you drive you put 3 more miles on your car than you actually drove.
ILVMYGT
NO, it means that you put 3 less miles on then indicated. Drive at 60 mph indicated for a hour and only go 57 miles. Edited December 22, 2008 by ILVMYGT
Theakerr
Using myf TomTom GPS as a guide, my 2008 Edges is high 1km at 60, 6 kmn high at 100 and 2 km high at 120. Nearly had a fit when I found out ! was doing 122 in a 110 zone since I thought I was doing about 115 based on a linear change from 60 and 100 km. I had been doing this speed for about 3/4 hour and at a real 122 that is a ticket
