MrsChelCD
New member here. Just got my dream used car. A 2009 Ford Edge Limited AWD We hear this squeal when rocking the car back and forth, getting in and out of the car, speedbumps and potholes, driving slow under 20mph, when foot is left off the brake in drive but not pushing the accelerator. We just got our shocks and struts done within the past month. Brakes and rotors on all four tires a few months back, alignment and mounting brackets done. I have watched videos of people spraying waterproof silicone lube on the ball joints but I cant actually see them just looking above the tire. Anyone ever have this issue? The noise is just super annoying but we have noticed that it comes and goes. Were in Ohio and its cold I just tried to rock the car side to side to see if i would hear it and it was completely quiet. Not sure just would like to fix it without a repair bill if possible. Thanks All

enigma-2
Does it sound anything like this? 1
MrsChelCD
No its more of a squeal. We also noticed that if we drove the car and park in the garage. A couple hours after we test it by pushing it and its completely quiet. Like when the car cools down the noise stops. Also when i went and got a car wash it was squeaking when i pulled in but when i pulled out the noise was gone. Then of course driving a good 10 minutes the noise was back. enigma-2
Weird. I think that i may be tempted to try using a clip on wireless microphone. Clip it on an area under the car, drive slowly and listen on your cellphone. Then try it on a different area. Until you find the loudest location. Isolate thd sound. Here's one suggestion: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0899FRF46/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_Fv1bGbB5EBFJR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=
