scottyschafer
Hello, NYE 2020 my water pump decides to blow out coming home luckily i was not far and have been able to limp it home. Has anyone replaced one of these on the 2013 era 2.0 ecoboost? I have not been able to find any instructions around replacing on this engine, based on the part it it does not look to be that difficult Thanks
scottyschafer
FWIW, Its an easy job 3 bolts pull the pulley and 3 bolts in the pump assembly pop it out and put the new one in took about 2 hours start to finish taking my time.
Jlovett80
I’m assuming you’ve already replaced it, but it’s super easy and the pump is extremely cheap. The 2.0l water pump is driven by the serpentine belt, unlike the 3.5 which has a timing chain driven water pump.
