WKRP
New to forum. Bought my Edge SEL new in 2008. 184K miles to date and solid, firm feel still. A joy to drive. Since new it has had a rare, but recurring slip/catch on the transmisssion from a stop...dealer could never reproduce, but hasn't resulted in any problem as yet (knock on wood!). Other events along this 184K miles: brake booster replacement, cooling fan replacement, and driver's side transmission "isolator". Compared to the "olden" days, a very reliable vehicle, just somewhat difficult to work on when items go bad. The forum has been a great resource for understanding this vehicle's signature.
omar302
Welcome to the Forums. I am sure you already know, but just in case, with your high mileage check and replace the water pump before it fails because a failed water pump in these engines might lead to a failed engine.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome! 2008 is a prime candidate for the vicious cycle of plug-coil-pcm. Also failed trans sensors such as the TSS and OSS. So I would a) change plugs and coils, and b) all fluids as soon as possible.
