Check Charging System ?

Has anyone experienced these issues and what did you do to resolve?
2011 Edge
replaced battery, replaced alternator, tested before installing (had the old one tested, passed), so both alternators tested good

dash still shows, "Check charging system"

I dont know what else to check, dont want to take to dealer and pay $1,000 for something simple

car starts and drives with no issue, just no charge

also what is the purpose of the fuse/circuit breaker on the positive battery cable?

Testing continuity across the two posts with the nuts on will confirm that both fuses are in tact, and if you don't get continuity there, then test from the center connector to each of those posts to identify which of the two fuses has blown.

You should be able to see through those clear plastic covers whether the fuse is blown, but a continuity check with a multimeter is the ultimate check.

If the vehicle starts and runs with no issue, you mean the battery is remaining fully charged?  How are you starting the vehicle otherwise?

If you get a digital tester like the Solar BA9, you can check the battery and alternator to see if there is a problem with either/both.  I assume you used Motorcraft/Ford parts, new?  Was the testing by a parts store and on the bench or in vehicle?

Definitely start with a close inspection of the fuses at the positive terminal, cables for signs of corrosion, etc.  As omar mentioned, there might be codes in the system also that would help pinpoint the issue.
