scottyschafer
Hello, It looks like i have a pretty healthy leak on the driver rear corner of the oil pan on my 2013 edge 2.0 ecoboost where is meets the engine block. I have not been able to find any information on changing the gasket on this engine. Generally oil pans are pretty straight-forward however i see this one seems to have bolts which go sideways into the transmission housing. Has anyone changed one of these and is there a specific tightening procedure do deal with the bolts going up into the engine and sideways into the transmission housing? Also what gasket did you use and did you run into anything unexpected? Thanks for any suggestions.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Oil pans are not fun on modern fords. Are you sure it is not a turbo pipe that is leaking? They are notorious for cracking at the clamps or even coming loose. The blowby contained in the piping then leaks onto the engine, making it SEEM like an engine leak. scottyschafer
Thanks for the suggestion im fairly certain its the oil pan as I can see it bubble out between the block and pan where they meet the tranmission :( Does not look like it will be fun as the ac compressor partially mounts to the pan as well.
