-adam
So I have a 2014 XLT 3.7 V6. Has anyone done any kind of exhaust or intake upgrade on their trucks? I was debating throwing in a flowmaster 40/44/super 40 muffler just to add a bit more sound to the exhaust. And read Carwrenching. I don't want anything obnoxious or loud, just a throatier sound. I know I won't get it to sound like a 5.0, but again just looking for an improvement. An intake also sounds like a good idea. Again I am not looking for performance gains, this is purely cosmetic (sound-wise). Your thoughts?
AkMan13
3.7 V6 on my edge has k&n intake and muffler delete. Sounds pretty throaty. Thinking of putting it back on and running no cats for the pops
Roadhawk
A cone filter intake will definitely give you some good sound from your 3.7 As far as exhaust goes, I've always had good results with Magnaflow products. I keep the factory resonator or replace it with a round straight thru unit, then a pair of shorty 9 inch ovals out back...or depending on the set-up, a crossflow/dual exit unit. I've used this on several vehicles including my EcoBoost Escape and my V6 convertible. Check out the clips
