CarsandCollege
I'm not sure if this is the correct place but there is no spot for technical discussions of electrical issues. My 2011 Ford Edge SEL seems to be having some issues with starting and with the electronics as a whole. When I put my key in the ignition my settings jump from miles to Kilometers, gallons to liters, etc. And then when I actually turn the key the dash lights click and flash and the car starts extra hard if it does at all. When it doesn't start the lights continue to flash and click until the battery dies. Because of this my key fobs aren't working and nor is the keypad on the door. The locks on the inside also seem to be acting up. It seems to do this more commonly on days that are wet. The battery and alternator both tested fine. Is there water getting into my electronics? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I'll try a new battery but in the meantime I'd like to hear your suggestions
