ONEDGE16
SYNC3 V 3.4.43 is now available on Ford owner to download and install for 2019 ST.
ktp1598
Just tried it for our 2019 ST and got "oops, something went wrong on our part". Installed it on my 2019 GT/CS this morning and it works good but.... during install it has to reboot 3x. On the 3rd time it'll tell you to remove the USB but will then go back to saying installing software update after it reboots. You have to remove it during that little window when it reboots or it'll get stuck in a loop and update / reboot for hours. Install time is only 30 minutes so go for a drive and remove it at the 3rd reboot. Otherwise I believe you can remove it at any of the reboots after that but I wouldn't just pull it when it says installing. Bet they're working on that and that's why it keeps saying oops. Should stop and prompt you to remove it and STAY on that prompt until you do. Edited July 31, 2020 by ktp1598

Itsdjellz
I keep getting the error I can't get it to download to my computer
ktp1598
Everyone's getting it. It'll likely be available Monday or Tuesday.
jmr061
It is down because they identified an issue with some models not getting the full package therefore it has been shut off until it is resolved.
handfiler
I was able to download the update for my Nautilus just now. I tried a few times during the day with no luck so it looks like it came back online tonight. I'll install it tomorrow and report back. ktp1598
Same here. I'll get to it soon. I know with my Mustang the "new search" button when using USB is disabled while driving. It wasn't this way with 3.3..
dolsen
What does it take to perform the update on vehicles that were swapped from MFT to Sync 3? Right now I am looking at cyanlabs to download the latest useable version of Sync 3.4, but I'm not entirely sure that is the best path to take
jmr061
The proper update path would be to have the VIN the SYNC3 setup came from and download the update using that VIN and run it via USB.
dolsen
That does not appear to be a viable option for vehicles that did not come with Sync 3 from the factory. As of now, cyanlabs appears to be my best bet
dolsen
Well I used the cyanlabs update file and it worked beautifully. Took about 30 minutes for the full update from 3.0 to 3.4 and maps from 1.16 to 1.19.
Watrat
Mine installed wirelessly overnight it seems. Have a 2019 Ford Edge SEL
dolsen
They really need to update Sync to get rid of that terrible blue color on the night mode, the day mode isn't much better, but at least it's not blue all over
1004ron
On the Ford Owner site after typing in my VIN it says I'm up to date - I haven't done an update in ages. "Your SYNC system (SYNC3 v3.0.19205) is up to date"

Watrat
It visibly looks different and there was a message saying it updated. Also when I plugged my phone in the car play screen came up as a new phone

I have auto updates on wifi enabled, but I never saw any active connection or updating going on.
Watrat
I never noticed it was doing anything but that might be because I use CarPlay a lot. Was pleasantly surprised when I started up this morning to see the new look.

dajo2012
Turned the automatic updates on, searched and searched and came back and said it is up to date. Had 3.4 before search and 3.4 after the search. Does it actually say 3.4.43? Edited August 28, 2020 by dajo2012
Watrat
Did nothing. Wasn’t even aware it was available yet.

So I guess that means that wifi is active even when the car is turned off. I have tried several times to update using a USB flash drive but no luck. I just connected to wifi and checked for updates. It scanned but never displayed any result - found or not. Auto update is turned on. Now that wifi is connected maybe it will update overnight (but I have my doubts). 1004ron
Can anyone post the screen showing this latest version - I haven't done any updates for quite some time. Wont let me download anything, because the first step asking for the VIN. Edited August 28, 2020 by 1004ron
