tipm
My passenger window and the passenger window switch does not work. It will roll down with the passenger switch and the master switch, but will not roll up properly or at all. When it first happened during the winter, I kept trying the master switch on the driver side for the passenger window and it luckily rolled back up, albeit very slowly. As much as I’ve tried to not mess with it, accidents happen and I bumped the master switch of passenger window today so now it’s open a sliver. Neither master switch or passenger switch will roll it back up, even slowly. I tried having someone holding the master switch and pulling the window up, nothing works. This is my first post. I’ve only read some issues similar to mine, but I only need a quick switch to get my window back up until I can afford whatever I need to get it fully functioning. I’ll be happy to clarify any questions since I don’t really know too much about cars. I got my Ford Edge as a used car from a Ford dealership at 84,000 miles. She is at 134,000 miles now and otherwise is very smooth. Edited July 18, 2020 by tipm
enigma-2
(From the 2009 service manual) Circuitry LH or RH front window control switch LH or RH rear window control switch RH front, LH or RH rear power window mo As the window cannot be opened by either switch, I'd suspect the motor or (more likely) a corroded motor or switch connector. There is no procedure to raise the window manually (force by hand).

I had a friend suggest that it was also the motor. We will be opening the passenger door panel this coming Tuesday to check. Wish us luck! In the mean time, we found that we COULD pull the window up (even though it comes down a little when bumped) when the car is off. This was helpful while waiting for the part to come in. Now that we have replaced the motor, the switch and window on the passenger side now works. Thank you for checking in!
