ALLEN007
My 2012 back-up camera was working intermittently. I decided to upgrade from SYNC 2 to SYNC 3. After doing that still no change with the camera. But after a couple weeks it finally quit working all together. I replaced the camera yesterday and the camera works fine now but has no guide lines. I have seen a bunch of others with this same issue. Did anyone figure this out short of taking it to the dealer?
Gadgetjq
Is your replacement a genuine Motorcraft part for your year or is it one of those aftermarket (eBay/Amazon etc) cameras? If it's the latter you just have to cut either the green or white wire sticking out of the camera cable. If it's OEM there's probably a sync process someone else can help with. DaMiFo
You will need to initialize the camera so it works with the car's other systems. Either a dealer can do this, or you can do it on your own if you are familiar with how to use FORScan.
ALLEN007
It's an OEM camera. Thanks for the response. I'll check into the Forscan.
