66lincoln
Vehicle 2015 Ford Edge Titanium, dual zone HVAC, 3.5L V6. Problem Driver side stuck on cold air and air not coming full force through all vents (as if the fan never spools up to it's highest speed on max-recirc). Diagnosis Forscan came up with these fault codes: B1081 Left Temperature Damper Motor failure and B1086 Air Distribution Damper Motor failure. Parts RockAuto has three Motorcraft modules/motors listed: (1) YH2022 (GS7Z19E616A, YH1906) Mode Door Motor controls which vents the air comes out of. (2) YH2023 (GS7Z19E616B, YH1905) Main Temperature Control Motor. (3) YH2024 (GS7Z19E616C, YH1907) Recirculation Door controls recirculate or fresh air option. Questions: 1. Do I only need to buy #1 for the driver side or do I need to buy a combination of these modules/motors? 2. Are the modules/motors replaceable without removing the entire dash? I'm a retiree so removing the glove box or an easy panel or two is doable for me, but not full dash removal and I'd like to avoid the cost of going to the dealer as much as possible. Thank you. /Paul Edited July 1, 2020 by 66lincoln
enigma-2
Try a HVAC reset first. Press the climate control button, the defrost button and the power button at the same time. then press the climate control button again and it should be reset.
