Chipster
Is there any "car care" product on the market that will prevent the failure of the Ford logo on the grille? How long has yours lasted before it failed, and what have you tried in an effort to save it? Maybe it can't be saved...
Gadgetjq
Regular waxing with the rest of the car 'might' have allowed it to last a bit longer but in the end the sun seems to kill all of them. The oval in the picture is obviously dead. The good news is you have many many replacement options. Check eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Pinterest etc. Someone posted (not too long ago) a way to replace the oval on the Gen2 without completely removing the front bumper/grille assembly. As I recall he just removed all the bolts on the top allowing him to pull the grill forward enough to get a wrench on the bolts. A very tight fit but doable. Chipster
It was a "file picture" mine is fine, but I just wondered if any of the "new" wizbang care products now on the market would save it before it showed signs of surrendering to the elements. omar302
Maybe a clear vinyl layer? The same used to protect body paint?

enigma-2
I'd use a UV protectant on the emblem. 303 is the best. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0185PU38A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_HBJ9FbGAF2MF1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=

PaulSchott
The rear emblem on my 2007 only gave up because it hits the hinge on my garage door if it is opened when the garage is opened. I put rubber over the hinge and put a carbon sticker on the emblem. The front looks great. after 14 years
Elfiero
Fomoco sells new ones. don't get upset over a used-up one. I have owned prolly about 50 of those over the last 50 years of driving. if you need a pristine one, keep it in a box in the counsel and only put it on during car shows . problem solved. enigma-2
Or mask it off and spray it with a coat of clear coat. (UV-Resistant Clear Gloss) https://a.co/d/guV1ZKJ Edited August 10, 2022 by enigma-
garycrist
Be proud of that worn out Ford logo! The BMW guys keep them that way as a badge of ownership duration. My '08 Edge Limited is far worse and I am proud of all 210K miles we have had "her"!
niceonept
That must've happened to at least half of all the Fords I've had, some within three years of being new. Thankfully though my Edge is showing no signs yet, despite it being five years old.
edjunior
I had an old Chevy Trailblazer that the empblem really drooped and faded. But of all my Fords, none have done it yet.
