PAT353
Hello all, 2013 Edge Limited and the AC wasn't blowing cold when idling. It was pretty cold in South Florida heat when moving but got warm and almost humid when stopped. Fan seemed to be running, reset the blend, compressor seemed to kick on. Shop said it needed a recharge but after recharging said the compressor was bad. They needed the car for a day to replace but then said they needed a different, $100 more expensive part and another day. Now they are saying the fans are running slow, did we need a compressor? I try and do most work myself because I feel like I’m always in a game at shops.

This is going to be difficult for us to offer valuable advice when it appears you don't trust what the service shop is telling you. It would be best to have an AC specialist shop look at it, .....not a mechanics shop.
