Bigdaddymb
Hello, Laugh at the name all you want but I'm a big guy and a father of two. Name explained. Now to the point. First off, I'm new to owning anything newer than 2003 and recently just bought a used 08 Ford Edge Limited. The CD player doesn't work and its factory. I want to replace it with my Pioneer Single din Bluetooth radio from my last vehicle but this this has a lot more to it with all the added electronics. It has Ford Sync, not sure what version, has the aux jack and usb in the center console, steering wheel controls and 2 dvd players built into the head rest for back seat entertainment. I want to keep the steering wheel controls, the center console USB and Aux jack. What parts do I need to get this accomplished? And will replacing the radio interfere with the rear seat dvd players? If so, what do I need to keep those working as well? So far i have these parts: Pioneer single din radio Wiring harness Radio dash kit PAC Radio Replacement interface ssfd11 kit (Not sure I need this. I was told this would let me keep my steering wheel controls but it doesn't. It says I need a separate kit for this.) and the other essentials electrical tape ,connectors etc. Do I need to keep the PAC RRI kit or can that be returned to get the steering wheel interface kit? Or do I need both? Links to parts needed would be awesome and greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly for the help.
