Deborah.spring
We replaced the battery on my 2013 Edge but the alarm sounds constantly and the car says it can not detect the key. I have a remote with push button start. I replaced the battery in the remote. We have tried deactivating the alarm by removing the key from the remote and unlocking the door ( turn key 2x’s right then 2x’s left) as stated in the owners manual but doesn’t work. Since the car can not detect the key we can’t start the car or lock/unlock the car using the inside door button as other option stated in the manual. Any ideas of what else we can try. omar302
Put the key fob inside the slot inside the front center armrest. You can see where the slot is in @macbwt's video below at around the 2:15 mark.
