engeee
Hi all, I'm brand new to the board. I just removed the OEM 6 disc stereo from my car as the CD player was toast. I've read that seems to be a common problem. I was simply going to replace it with another used stereo of the same number and etc. But here's the question...when I removed the radio I noticed another batch of wires leading to another connector (not connected to anything) seemingly secured to a metal cross brace back there. Was this for a feature my radio didn't have (Nav, Sync, Bluetooth, etc.)? Could I replace my stereo with a different one and make use of the connection? I'm going to try and attach a photo (pardon the lack of photo skills) Thank you, Steve engeee@aol.com

PaulSchott
What year is your Edge? I swapped out my factory head unit on my 2007 with an aftermarket Nav. unit with blue tooth for less than $200. I love it. I never hooked to steering wheel controls up but I don't miss them. Gamer0063
Just replaced the stock deck with an aftermarket unit. I believe that plug is for a factory installed sub if equipped. Mine has it. Question I have is once I installed the new deck, now i get a pop when the sub amp turns on... and its almost like there is a delay and a surge... anyone ever had this happen before?
