DJ Nap
Some of you may know about the subwoofer issues I'm having...and how Ford said that since the radio in it is not the one built with the Edge, then no warranty work for me. Well. The Dodge dealer I bought it from had the warranty "X" marked on the sticker. This implied warranty means that the Edge should have evrything working in it. EVERYTHING. So we call the Dodge place and they agree to take a look.... WELL... They told us that they're going to pay to have it taken to an outside audio place to fix it, as their expertise in Chrysler radios can't help them with the Edge issues... ok, whatever... The real issue came when I got back into my Edge, it appears that they took a flathead screwdriver and TRIED TO PRY THE METAL BEZEL from around the radio/ac controls!!! Here I sit looking at a bent up dash along with my hardwired nav wire crimped between the metal and plastic, nearly cutting it in 2 (when it DID come out from just above the radio, allowing my to push/pull on it as necessary). Needless to say that after all the and we have an entire dash bezel (w/ vents) coming our way courtesy of Jaxcjd.com. I asked them (in "other" words) if they did not know how to take the dash off, why they didn't use the phone to call Ford or just look online? I got blank stares.. ers
Lex Talionis
not real shocking. about par for course. it seems often that for vendors, they worry only about their piece of the puzzle, not anything else. in your case, the rest of your car does not matter, just what they are doing. I had to have the dealer repaint my sill as in the process of fixing item A, the broke item B.. so it was on their tab. funny thing is, in hindsight, you could have bought a new better drop in sub for like $70.. a fraction of the cost/time/effort so far. but, you would have never known that nor should have to, just that that piece is not that pricey. I am always leery of people working on my car... even the dealer. there is a good chance you will get it back with something you did not have before. always a risk

I think even a new sub would not come on because of the head unit. It is becoming quite a headache. I'm with you on taking the car in for service. NO ONE takes care of it like you do. ...and me owning a mobile detail business, the Edge gets cleaned twice a week...and they just get their greasy shoe prints on my door sills. The new bezel is $288...only one around is in Detroit For those of you out there that are honest and caring techs, thank you.
