Ford Edge 2015 front brake caliper tool

I'm changing my front brakes for the first time since I bought it used.

The two screws have a socket that measures 11.05mm flat to flat.

The video I saw stated a 7mm hex socket and the auto zone pulled a caliper part for the 2015 from the shelf and it had a 7mm hex socket.

Can anyone give be some background on the difference and what tool will work.

11mm hex keys are not standard. Although dealers never surprise me......

Hi Larry,

You're going to end up at one of the big box hardware stores.  I think the tool you need (what I had to get at Lowes) is a T40 Torx.  You can get it to fit a 1/2" socket wrench ( part #338206) or as a stand alone Torx wrench.  BTW you're correct, it is 'not' included in most Torx bit sets.

It's an 11mm and couldn't find one in my area, so I used a  7/16" is a very good snug fit.
