Hessell920
Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me out with locating the transmission line that I should tie into when trying to change out my trans fluid. I searched around the forum, but was unable to find the location and process to do so. I did this with my other vehicle (chevy cruze) and the process was easy, so I was planning to do it for our edge instead of just draining out the trans fluid over and over. Any info would be great. Thank you.

Good idea to add your vehicle Model Year to your profile. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=JxlRXtbqJsy7tgW0kLco&q=https+%2F%2Fwww.fordedgeforum.com+transmission+drain+and+fill&oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fordedgeforum.com+transmission+drain+and+&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.33i160l2j33i299l2.822.9474..12508...0.0..0.242.3157.6j18j1......0....2j1..gws-wiz.......0i13.9_Bw-6Nk_Nk I did multiple drain and fills, .....didn't touch the lines to and from the cooler.
Hessell920
So, back again. Changed the brake fluid, steering fluid, and coolant. Now finally I would still like to try changing all of the transmission oil by tapping into the transmission lines. Is the picture I am attaching the correct transmission lines to disconnect and tap into?

14AWD3.5
Just change from beneath using the drain bolt, 7/16” up at the passenger side front of the trans pan. 5 .5 US qts. If in doubt just measure what came out and replace same amount. My 2014 uses Mercon LV, yours might be Mercon L. I borrowed steel ramps but they were too high, the pan actually tilted backwards so I had to “edge” it down backwards on the ramps till it was more level. Chock your tires! Update - forget the ramps, just park it level. Unless you are fatter than me (not likely) you can reach the unlabeled 7/16th (US) bolt. I painted it so I don't have to wonder next time which bolt. It drains 5.5 qts and I do it every 10K. Takes 30 minutes from opening the garage door to wiping my hands off. I'm not much of a wrencher so if it takes me only 30 min and some bulk Maxlife Synthetic Valvoline ATF (look for the gallon that says compatible with Mercon LV) then you can certainly do it that way as well. The longest time is draining the pan, that's about 15 minutes as it finally drips out. Edited June 29, 2021 by 14AWD3.
