Chigozie
Good day house I replaced my power steering pump and I had to work on my steering rack to stop oil leaks. I use Mecron V as indicated on my manual, still my steering gets hard to turn. it's only free if I have parked the vehicle for some hours, after a while driving it becomes hard to turn. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
What year Edge? Is the fluid full? Looks clean & healthy? Then I suggest you try replacing it completely / flushing with Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic ATF, which is mercon V compatible. Hope it is available where you are. Is it more effort turning in one direction vs another? Does the effort level go away with higher RPMs turning lock to lock while parked and idling? Chigozie
it's a 2007 edge. the fluid level is not full. I will have to check my oil dealer if he has valvoline Maxlife. It is hard on both right and left On 12/31/2019 at 1:32 PM, WWWPerfA_ZN0W said: What year Edge? Is the fluid full? Looks clean & healthy? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
ok not the gear at least. still could be the pump, if raising the rpms makes the effort easier.
Chigozie
I checked the rpm today. I was in a park position and raised the rpm while I turned left to right. it was very free. Another part dealer asked me to buy another pump.
