Carmen S
My 2011 Edge Limited’s horn sounds very weak and high pitched compared to every other Edge horn I’ve heard on YouTube. It would make a deer laugh. It’s also quite quiet but still audible by other cars. I will edit this tomorrow and add a video of what my horn sounds like. Gadgetjq
Carmen, Replacing horns is simple and not expensive. I swapped out the OEM horns in a Toyota for these. https://amzn.to/2Y2PVWC It was a huge improvement. In most cases (unless you're using air horns for instance) replacement horns are a direct swap. Just unplug the connector and remove your original horns then bolt the replacements to the original bracket. Plug them in and you're done. Another option, grab a couple of horns from another Ford at a wrecking yard. It'll probably set you back $10.
Xtra
Tasca has an OEM horn for your car $43 https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-horn-bt4z13832a/?c=Zz1lbGVjdHJpY2FsJnM9aG9ybiZpPU1TMTExNTg1JnI9MSZhPWZvcmQmbz1lZGdlJnk9MjAxMSZ0PWxpbWl0ZWQmZT0zLTVsLXY2LWdhcw%3D%3D I was able to replaced the horn in my 2016 Sport in about 40 min or less, super easy to do. If it is the same set up you just remove the headlight assembly for access. There is a thread here on how to do it with a instructional video. omar302
If I remember correctly, the horn for 1st Gen Edge is behind the bumper on the passenger side and removing a headlight requires removing the front bumper. But I also remeber it that the horn was accessible from the wheel well, just remove the screws holding the wheel liner to the bumper.
