EDST777
Those sensors are transmitters. akirby is referring to the receiver end of the system that collects data from the sensors you installed. Thanks, is clear now but where there is a receiver, in what place is located, and whether it is possible to diagnose it, what its OEM number? Nobody had such problems, I the first?) Thanks. P.s.I want to fix this problem, but Ford absolutely have no information on the subject TPMS, there is no schematic diagram of operation, there is no complete description in the user guide or a manual of service and repair. Thanks. Edited April 28, 2015 by EDST777

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Principles of Operation The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) monitors the air pressure of all 4 road tires. The wheel-mounted tire pressure sensors transmit via radio frequency (RF) signals, to the smart junction box (SJB). TPMS functionality is integral to the SJB. These transmissions are sent approximately every 60 seconds when the vehicle speed exceeds 32 km/h (20 mph). The TPMS function compares each tire pressure sensor transmission against a low-pressure limit. If it has been determined that the tire pressure has fallen below this limit, the SJB communicates this on the vehicle communication bus to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster then illuminates the TPMS indicator and displays the appropriate message(s) in the message center (if equipped). The system is not affected by wheel and tire rotation. =========== A. Buy a TPMS training tool and see if it will train the sensors properly B. Have a tire center do A. for you C. Pull codes from the OBD port to see if any Bxxxx or Uxxxx codes are present D. Diagnose and/or replace SJB. This has to be done via IDS, at a Ford dealer, or service shop with access to IDS software/tools.
EDST777
Thanks for your help. You very competently state all your answers, everything is clear and exact. I now ordered the training tool, I wait for it receiving. I will report result on a forum. Thanks.
EDST777
I corrected it by initialization of sensors the device : http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-Ford-TPMS-Sensor-Training-Tool-Tire-Pressure-Programming-Activation-/271293210456?rmvSB=true

Nicki
Hello, i currently own a 2013 Edge, and I’m experiencing the same problem plus one!! My tire pressure sensor fault is currently on in my suv and my back up camera says I need to see the dealership,, it works when it wants to and that started the same time as the tire pressure sensor fault light came on! it’s frustrating due to its the 3rd time since we’ve owned it, and we’ve had it for 5 years now, and I shouldn’t “go through” three sets of sensors in 5 years! They claimed I have to replace my back up camera, but I don’t think it’s the issue,, I do use my iPhone in my suv, but I also disconnect all chargers at each time I shut the vehicle off. Anyone any suggestions on how I can get this fixed without spending my savings!!

I paid $30.00 each for the sensors and had Discount tire install them for $20.00 each. There was a 2023 date code on each sensor and I assume they were taken off wrecked vehicles. The originals lasted 13 years so I figured OEM was the way to go.
