wiexgehts
After perusing the forum, I think this would be the right area for this particular topic/questions, so here we go. I have a 2019 Ford Edge Titanium, I bought it new approximately two months ago. About a day or two ago, I was refilling the windshield washer fluid (yes, I used it all in that short period of time) and when I had the hood up, I noticed this spot of the on the edge of the hood. Now my mind immediately went to rust, but I'm not exactly sure what it is - I figured I'd share a photo and get some thoughts. Bear in mind, I got a feeling it's something really dumb and I'm just being anal about my car, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Also, I don't want haul myself up to the dealership and look like a total tool. Thanks in advance Edited September 14, 2019 by wiexgehts Updated image type

I get used to iOS and forget that Apple defaulted image types to .HEIC. Updated the post with JPEGs .
1004ron
That looks like it's road debris stone chip, which mine has a few. I frequently inspect and touch those up.
mike dexter
Looks like a paint defect to me. Either small bubbles or some debris in the paint. My recommendation would be to take it to the dealer.
